About my practice

I came to biblical counseling through my own experience of learning that trying harder just didn't work. Real growth began when God’s grace allowed me to embrace the things about myself I had previously been unable, or unwilling, to change.

For more than 20 years, I have helped others bring that same kind of honesty to the places in life where they feel stuck. My role is not to tell you what to think, but to help you recognize patterns you may not see for yourself, examine them in the light of biblical truth, and invite the Holy Spirit into the work of transformation

What you can expect

Direct and Insightful

Every session begins with prayer. Biblical truth provides the framework for our work as we seek God’s perspective, His direction, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. I believe change is possible because God is faithful.

I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and work to understand what is really driving the problem. My goal is to help you get beneath the symptoms and identify the patterns keeping you stuck.

Safe and Honest

You do not have to clean yourself up before you come. Counseling is a place to tell the truth without shame or judgment—to be fully yourself, struggles and all, while we honestly examine what is and is not working.

What if I’m struggling with my faith or angry with God?

You are welcome here! You do not need to have your faith figured out before coming to counseling. Anger, doubt, disappointment, and spiritual disconnection can all be explored honestly. God can handle your questions, and sometimes those very questions lead us in the direction of your deepest healing.

How much does it cost and how can I pay?

Counseling sessions are 50 minutes long and the fee is $60. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash, checks, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle.

Questions you may be asking

How is biblical counseling different from therapy; is it covered by insurance?

Licensed psychotherapy is healthcare. Biblical counseling is spiritual care. I am not a state-licensed mental-health provider, so my services are not covered by health insurance. My counseling is grounded in a biblical worldview and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

How long would I need counseling?

That varies with the person and the reason for counseling. My goal is to help you gain greater clarity, confidence, and mastery over the problem that brought you here as quickly as possible. In my experience, most people begin to see meaningful progress within 3 to 10 sessions.
